Preconditioning 2022
International Conference on Preconditioning Techniques for Scientific and Industrial Applications

The goal of this series of conferences is to address the complex issues related to the solution of general sparse matrix problems in large-scale applications and in industrial settings.

Accomodation With the keyword "Preconditioning" you may book discounted rooms in the following hotels:
Travel Chemnitz is best reached via plane to Leipzig (LEJ) or Dresden (DRS) both of which are well connected to Frankfurt and Munich. From both airports we will arrange collective pickups using the university shuttle service. If you want to reach Chemnitz via train there are connections via Chemnitz and Leipzig and a new connection to Berlin has just been announced, which might make flying to Berlin also more convenient.

If you plan to arrive a bit earlier or leave later than Prague is relatively close (90 minute drive) and might also make a viable destination for departure or arrival.

For those of you traveling to the Householder meeting in Bari, there seems to be a one-stop flight leaving from Leipzig around lunch time on Friday and Saturday. Please do not hesitate to contact us about further details.

Shuttle service:
We have some spots available in the university shuttle to and from the local airport, which are
from airports to Chemnitz:

  • June 07 departure Dresden airport at 10:05
  • June 07 departure Dresden airport at 12:35
  • June 07 departure Dresden airport at 23:10
  • June 07 departure Leipzig Halle airport at 17:50
  • June 08 departure Leipzig Halle airport at 09:50
and back from Chemnitz to local airports:
  • June 10 leaving Chemnitz for Dresden 11:00
  • June 10 leaving Chemnitz for Leipzig Halle 12:30
  • June 11 leaving Chemnitz for Dresden 8:00
  • June 11 leaving Chemnitz for Leipzig Halle 07:30
